Postsaver rot protectors guarantee your posts against ground-line rot and decay. Our UC4-treated fence posts with Postsaver Protection are made from high-quality, carefully selected wood that is fully pressure-treated to UC4 standards (Use Class 4).
These 175x175mm posts are suitable for a range of purposes including fence posts, decking posts, gateposts, keeper posts and much more.

Why You Need a Post Saver Sleeve?
Most Fence Posts always rot off at ground level or within the first 6 inch of the soil . Most of us believe that is because they're encased in concrete or the concrete is not chamfered, which means the post is trapped with moisture now. Unfortunately, that is not real the reason. The reason is beyond 15 cm or 6 inches below ground there is not enough oxygen to support the decaying organisms and fungi. Coupled with temperatures below 10°C means that these decaying organisms are unable to survive and rot cannot occur.

To install a Postsaver Pro‑Sleeve on a timber fence or gate post:
- Measure the burial depth
Mark the post so the sleeve will sit slightly above ground level (about 50 mm / 2 in above finished ground level is recommended). - Slide the sleeve onto the post
Position it so it covers the entire ground-contact zone. - Heat the sleeve evenly
Use either:- a hot 2KW+ air gun, or
- a gas blowtorch
Heat from the center outward until the sleeve shrinks tightly around the timber and the inner bitumen layer melts/seals.
- Roll or press the sleeve tight
For square posts, use a foam roller to flatten the sleeve and remove trapped air. - Install the post normally
The protected post can be concreted in or set with gravel/post mix as usual.
