For fence posts, concrete posts are ideal as it doesn’t rot like timber. If you are using this 2.75m slotted concrete post, Closeboard fence panels can slot easily into position, making it easy and quicker. It is cost effective. Provides a rot free option to replace timber posts.
When using concrete fencing posts for closeboard garden fencing you need to pay attention to the fixing of the gravel board. For a timber board use 160 or 180mm long roofing bolts to fix timber cleats to the concrete post or for concrete gravel boards use the purpose made metal 2 pin cleat.
These 2.75m morticed, pointed top concrete posts measure 100 x 100mm and are suitable for 1.8m high closeboard fencing using arris rails and feather edge boards.
